1. Serial blasts rock Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya; terror attack, Centre says. Nine serial explosions rocked the Mahabodhi Temple complex in Bodh Gaya on Sunday morning, leaving at least five people injured.

2. ISRO gears up for ambitious Mars mission. The satellite, which would be launched on board Polar Satelli...te Launch Vehicle (PSLV-XL), will carry compact science experiments, totalling a mass of 15 kg, according to ISRO officials. There will be five instruments to study Martian surface, atmosphere and mineralogy.

3. At least two people were killed and 182 injured when an Asiana Airlines plane with three Indians among 307 on board hit the runway, smashed into pieces and engulfed by flames while landing at San Francisco airport.

4. Ranbir, Vidya bag best actor awards at IIFA. Vidya Balan took home the Best Actress award at IIFA 2013 for her portrayal of a pregnant woman in search of her husband in ‘Kahaani’ while Ranbir Kapoor was named Best Actor for ‘Barfi!’ in Macau on Saturday.

5. Sebastian Vettel wins the German Grand Prix for the first time. hree-time Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel surged ahead in his Red Bull at the start of the German Grand Prix on Sunday and held off a strong challenge from the two Lotus cars to win his first race on home soil.

6. Israel passes military draft Bill. Israel’s Cabinet has approved a plan that would gradually end a contentious system that has granted automatic draft exemptions to Jewish ultra-Orthodox seminary students.

7. Indian women clinch 4x400m relay gold at Asian Athletics C'ship. India clinched a gold medal in women's 400m relay in a sensational race to finish sixth overall as the curtains were drawn on the 20th Asian Athletics Championships with China confirming their supreme status in the continent on Sunday.

8. Only 11 States have conveyed approval for FDI in multi-brand retail, which means a significant part of the country is out of bounds for global companies keen on a pan-India footprint.

9. Vedanta sells stake in Canada’s Hudbay Minerals for $152 million. danta had acquired about 14.5 million shares or 9.5% stake in Hudbay Minerals, through a privately-held Netherlands-based subsidiary Lakomasko BV for an undisclosed sum.

10. India puts its first GPS satellite in orbit. The Indian space agency Saturday evening successfully put its first navigation satellite - the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System-1A (IRNSS-1A) - in the geosynchronous orbit at 27 degrees to the equator.
